The goal of recertification through the ATD CI is to ensure it's credential holders remain current about new trends and developments in talent development. To recertify, Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD®) and Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®) credential holders must demonstrate their continued competence by participating in related professional development activities or retesting every three years.
